For 30 years, Gary Mesa-Gaido has participated in numerous international, national, & regional juried exhibitions, including the Abraham Lubelski Gallery in NYC & the Museo ItaloAmericano in San Francisco. In 2022, his digital animation was selected for the Juror Award: Digital at the international ArtPrize. The recipient of various grants & awards, Mesa-Gaido has been recognized with two Kentucky Arts Council Fellowships & a Great Meadows Foundation Grant. His works are part of the permanent collections of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass, Clay Center's Avampato Museum Pennsylvania College of Technology, & numerous private collectors, nationally & abroad. Works have been published in books, periodicals & catalogs, including Good Bokeh: Focusing on Fine Art Photographers (Los Angeles: DAB Art), & Janus Head: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (Duquesne Univ.). He obtained his M.F.A. from Ohio University and has a studio in Morehead, KY, where he also teaches at Morehead State University.
