My Father and Grandfather were both Navy pilots, and my father was KIA when I was 11 months old, while we were stationed in Hawaii. The expectations from my family were for me to become a third-generation pilot, this was something I embraced until my Jr year in High School. Through my current body of work, I am learning how to talk about my past, while sharing my experiences of grief. Healing is at the forefront of my practice and through art I am engaging ancestral wounds with the hope to inspire all who encounter my work. Growing up in Tacoma WA, I spent a lot of rainy days drawing, watching cartoons, reading comics and playing video games. My early creativity was heavily influenced by punk and skateboard culture, which eventually got me very involved with the local Hip Hop community. All of these influences can still be seen in my work today.
