I've been an artist all my life. My first piece of art was published in my school paper in 1st grade. As a non-traditional student, I received my BA in art in 2010 from Michigan State University. In 2024, I was awarded 2nd place in the annual "all Florida" competition, sponsored by the Alliance of the Arts, Fort Myers, from over 700 entries. I call my style "paint sculpting". I use no brushes or tools of any kind and pour the paint on loose canvas. The piece is stretched when completed. Each piece is unique by creating depth and movement. I get inspiration from the beautiful clouds and skies of the Gulf of America.
