This is a portrait painting of Ariana Grande. During the process of painting and gluing down pieces to my work, I sketched my reference photo using a pencil. Then, I started painting the head with acrylic paint, focusing on the skin color and cheekbone. I progressed with this painting by repeating the saying, "Just draw what you see Rebecca." Once I finished all the hard parts on the head, I moved down to the neck. While painting I was thinking of making the skin color flow like a gradient. Once I got as close as I could to my reference photo, I moved down onto the chest, then painted the hair and ear. My favorite part was adding the eyelashes, it was also the scariest. One wrong flick and the whole look would change. Finishing the portrait I added a rose collage to the background to give it a classier, neater finish. That’s the story of my version of Ariana Grande.
