I am a graduating senior and life has been a whirlwind of trials. When I was making this for my school's National Arts Honor Society, my personal life was slowly beginning to unravel. I wanted the new logo to be something that would catch someone's eye. I wanted it to be an organized unraveling. I have always unintentionally conveyed my emotions through my art, and this piece was no different. I was on the verge of being adopted, and school was beginning to stress me out. So when I found out that I, as president, had to make the new logo, I threw myself into it and took me about 2 weeks to finish. I wanted people to relate to this. We all have times in our lives where on the outside, we blend in with our surroundings, but on the inside, we are a pit of overflowing emotions. When I was making the "inside" of the hand, I wanted it to have more than just one thing represented in it. That's why it has so many different little designs inside. Just like we have so many emotions.
