I have frequent nosebleeds and sometimes wake up already dripping blood. Even though nosebleeds don’t hurt, it is a stressful experience to be covered in your own blood. This idea is combined with the rushing of the animals around the figure to create drama. The dogs are all running towards the left and the figure seems to be moving that way as well, but not with the same force as the animals. I want it to look like the animals are urging and pushing the figure forwards while she is still looking back, representing the fear of being left behind. There is a lot of motion in the piece that contributes to the confusion and tension I want to portray. The figure is still confused as to what is happening while the dogs are rushing forward without a second thought.
