This piece is a representation of who I am a person. Stylistically, the crosshatching references my artistic style as well as early renaissance woodcut artworks. The colors of blacks and greys further reference my artistic style and my daily aesthetic. Seen in the work is my distinguishable dyed hair, which I have donned for nearly a quarter of my life. My clothing is that of my arming doublet, the quilted garment I affix my armor to in the system of laces and points. The printing of eagles, that clutches a long sword within its talons, is the sigil I have illustrated onto my shield and is the design printed in silver onto my arming doublet. The medieval correlation references one of my strongest of passions, historical arms and armor, and the sports I compete in affiliated with said passion.
