The hardest part of my spiritual journey has been self-reflection. It’s hard to sit down with yourself and ask yourself, “are my actions serving me or am I hindering my self-growth?” It can be painful. To have to cut off so many people and so many things because you know it is the best thing for yourself. To pick at old wounds and properly heal them. To learn and unlearn and constantly live as a student of life. With many people living on autopilot, constantly busying themselves and constantly worrying about the future or whatever other tasks they must face, it almost seems like a foreign idea to take a step back, a moment to meditate or reflect, and look in the mirror. I am connecting with my higher self. The Elisa that is confident in herself, the Elisa that fully believes and trusts in herself and her potential. The Elisa that is so beautifully and divinely made, almost as if the universe lives in harmony with her body, spirit, and mind.
