A thin man chained to the bottom of the ocean. His head is obscured in a black whirlpool, and his arm, torn and bleeding, compels the viewer to look into the abyss of his head. He's only wearing pants, tattered by the sea, with rusting armor hidden underneath, bolted to his skin. Ichor is the deity of the sea within the pantheon I have created. In this print he is stuck in a pattern, slowly drowning in fear and anxiety of voyaging out and starting something new, with his chains binding him to his path. He is an embodiment of my resentment and denial of the religion and rituals I have known, illustrated and printed upon torn paper, the colors of the shore. The black and red inks contrasts the paper in both texture and value, and gives form to the deity of my creation.
