In my art piece, Gecko, I used multiple materials to make a dynamic and creative composition. I started by researching geckos. Once I found a gecko I wanted to draw, I changed its color to reds and yellows. When I started the watercolor background, I decided to make it blue and green to contrast the gecko itself. I painted the tree a typical reddish-brown with a dark green shadow under the gecko to give it contrast, like the background. I really like the final outcome because all of the colors work well together and really express the gecko well.
