My art, Portrait of Discomfort, is meant to show how too many emotions feel. I often feel this, with such a busy life, and wanted to portray this feeling in a dramatic way. The stretched and squished features are there to show how our emotions can overpower us, make us feel less human. The colorful background is used to show how life goes on and continues, no matter what you feel. The face is crowded with so many colors and textures to really convey a frazzled feeling, like everything is too much. I loved creating this, because it showed exactly how this feels to me.
