Amanda Hereford

My name is Amanda Hereford, and I am a senior visual artist from the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. My work explores the landscapes of childhood, nostalgia, and the environments that shape our earliest memories. Growing up in the upstate of South Carolina, I draw inspiration from the experiences and mixed emotions of that setting. I concentrate on child development and the way our experiences sculpt our values. My work highlights the way spaces shape identity and memory, capturing the complexity of growing up. I will be attending Berea College and double majoring in studio arts and communications. After that, I hope to get my master's in art therapy.
