This piece is a graphite self-portrait depicting a bothered expression. The title of my piece is "The Stare". My main goal of this piece was to focus on the details of my face to create high contrast and show disinterest. I used graphite pencils to create accurate values and then used a blending stump to create seamless transitions between the different values.
