My 5-year-old "sister" is depicted in the painting. For twenty years, my parents have operated a restaurant, and during that period, some patrons go and some stay. My "sister" is the child of one of our restaurant's employees. I saw her practically every day at the restaurant since she was still in the womb. The restaurant connected the two of us, so the painting depicts her presenting to me her newly gained dolls at one of the dining tables. The worn-out leather couch retains its vibrant color, and the gradually deteriorating table that occasionally squeaks indicates the years it has endured. The children are growing up, and the pieces of furniture are aging. My sister is merely a reflection of me when I was younger, only now I'm sitting on the opposite side of the table.
