This drawing depicts three ducks (from left to right, Puddles, Tito, Penny). These ducks lived in my backyard over the summer in 2024, where I raised them from less than a week old. I don't have these ducks anymore, but I will never forget the memories of their time living with me. Having these ducks was an extremely unique experience, and I will always look back and smile at them. These ducks were always so curious and social, so whenever I brought out duck treats, or my phone to take pictures, they would come up and peck at my hand or phone to try and get more snacks, which is the origin of the reference photo of this drawing. I completed this drawing before the ducks and I parted ways. But now that they're gone, I look at this piece as a farewell letter to them, and almost as a goodbye to the three most curious, mischievous things I've ever known.
