Ford Wilder

My name is Ford Wilder, and I am a senior at Wilson Hall School. I am currently enrolled in 2D Design for my art credit, where I am taught by Tara Schumacher. I have not always considered myself a strong artist, as I have found most of my success in athletics. However, Mrs. Schumacher, known to students as, "Mrs. Shoe," is an outstanding teacher who leads the art program at Wilson Hall, and I give her full credit for sparking my interest in art and helping me discover new creative abilities.

The linoleum piece I am submitting is a strong example of the significant growth I have made in my artwork. I am proud of the progress I have achieved and hope to continue developing my interest in art throughout the rest of this year and beyond. Next year, I will attend Wofford College, a liberal arts school where art courses are required, and I look forward to continuing my interest of art there.
