In my photograph, I wanted to display an aspect of me dealing with my allergies and the emotional concept as well. I have spent the majority of my life struggling with intense anxiety in daily actions, and I always have to take precautions, no matter where I am. Navigating throughout school and elsewhere was often difficult, and I was often afraid to speak up for fear of embarrassment. Earlier this year, I went into anaphylactic shock and had to be hospitalized. This traumatic event I experienced not long ago, impacted the way I viewed myself. This photo is suppose to convey me breaking out of my cycle of falling into dark periods of fear and anxiety. The girl in the photo is me, and the specks of light resemble the future and hope I earned from the experiences I have had. While I was taking this photo, I had a vision to reflect some of the specks of light around me to symbolize the ongoing support I receive from my family and friends.
