Logan Woodle is the seventh generation to live on, and in context of, his family farm. His work in an exploration of the myths, exaggeration, and outright lies that create the culture of the Agrarian South. Working in precious metal allows Logan to be bound to the physicality of the farm while creating work that reaches across societal divides.
Logan Woodle received his BFA from Winthrop University and his MFA from Edinboro Univeristy with a concentration in Jewelry and Metalsmithing and a minor in woodworking. Along with making his personal work, Logan is a teaching associate at Coastal Carolina University, is CEO of Logan Woodle Metalsmithing, and Preparator for the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum of Myrtle Beach. In recent months his work has been published as part of the award-winning book Humor in Craft, was invited to show at the Nazareth College emerging artist In Process exhibition, and was granted the C.R. Hill Award for work shown in the Jewelry + Objects.
