While I do not like to tell the viewer what to take in from my work, subtle symbols are used with every narrative story. I tend to work in themed series, often set forward by my interests in generational repetitions and cultural superstitions. My work has exhibited in group and solo shows across the U.S. It is included in private and corporate collections throughout the Southeast, New York, England, and Italy. In 2015 I was named in the Top Ten Portrait/figurative artists of Tennessee by the Portrait Society of America in a juried process. In 2012, I was one of twenty-five women artists selected to participate in the National juried exhibit, titled “Where Do We Go from Here? The Shape of Things to Come,” at the RCC Wiseman Gallery.
