I am a self taught, colorblind, autistic realist painter (+husband and father) from Zebulon, Ga. I started drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. My dad used to show me drawings he used to do long before he and my mom met. Seeing his old sketches inspired me to be like him and I never stopped. Later on I tried painting and absolutely hated it. It wasn't until I was around 13 or 14 that an older cousin of mine bought me a canvas panel, white and black acrylic and a few cheap Walmart brushes and from there on I was addicted. All throughout public school, my plan was to graduate and head off to SCAD Savannah. Being autistic was unbeknownst to me at the time and made living with 2,000+ students unbearable so I left not long after arriving. From there, I've worked many short lived jobs and have pursued my passion with ferocity trying to make it sustainable for us. After years of trying to make ends meet with my work, I feel that things are finally heading in the right direction.
