Kaitlin Kirsch, a Florida native, is currently in the MFA in Emerging Media for Studio Art and Design at University of Central Florida. She graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois with a B.A. in Studio Art and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She explores her uses of and connections between a variety of disciplines including painting, printmaking, embroidery, sculpture, and ceramics. Painting, especially, portrays idealized, fantastical landscapes reminiscent of childhood wonder. Portraying this idea has become important to her as she has grown up and seen the environmental changes around her.
Kirsch has previously been awarded talent-based scholarships for Studio Art from North Central College, where she also had a painting purchased to be a part of their alumni collection. Kirsch was recognized as an Emerging Artist by the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival for 2023. She has previously exhibited in both Florida and Illinois.
