Carlita Scarboro-Vazquez (b.1971, Washington, DC) lives and works in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. Synthesizing the artistic traditions of digital art, graphic design, painting and mixed media she has developed a unique visual style. As a creative spirit Scarboro-Vazquez received her formal education as an artist at Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she obtained her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, MAOM and MAED. At Howard, her academic focus was in Experimental Studio with an emphasis in printmaking, painting and sculpture. "Art is everywhere" is the philosophy that Scarboro-Vazquez possesses. Her prints have been featured in several shows and her printmaking work was added to the permanent collection at the Howard University Law School and Dupont Circle in Washington, DC. Other showings include the United Way Loudermilk Center, Castleberry Artist Stroll and Aviation Community Cultural Center, Rialto Center The Goat Farm and most recently with Fulton County Arts.
