I'm a southern boy born and raised in Louisiana. I have a MFA focused on color and design from LSU and 30+ years of creating stained glass windows for public and private buildings. Painting for me has become a vehicle for expressing the world around me in my own terms. I use the modulation of light through color and value to evoke an emotional reaction from the viewer. I always thought my work would mellow with age. Possibly, the edges would get rounded off and everything would become polished, Just the opposite has happened. I still love the gratification of seeing the paint flowing off the brush onto the canvas and the surprises I find in the finished pieces.
