Magnolias have always been more than beautiful trees to me-they've been a constant presence throughout my life. They're the perfect climbing tree, sturdy enough to hold a child's full imagination. I climbed them as a girl, pass them on walks through the park near my home, and see them throughout my grandparents' house, since they were their wedding flowers. To me, magnolias are symbols of play, resilience, and Southern womanhood.
