Malik Elijah Hayward, also known as Yung4LifesArt, was born in Decatur, Georgia, July 9, 1997. He is an African American visual artist, educator, South Carolina State University Alumnus and native of Nesmith, South Carolina. Malik is an ArtFields Acline Studios Artist, volunteer, Black Carolina Collective member and currently serves as the Art Teacher at Greeleyville STEAM Academy in Williamsburg County School District. His artistic journey is rooted in storytelling using paint, texture and mixed media to explore themes of identity, community and cultural heritage. Malik's work reflects a deep appreciation for the narratives of everyday life, often portraying the beauty and resilience of Black experiences through naturalistic and symbolic compositions. Through his creative practice, Malik Hayward continues to use art as a force for unity, education, and healing acknowledging that every brushstroke has the power to connect communities and celebrate the shared light within us all.
