Cynthia Myron is an interdisciplinary artist based in Richmond, Virginia, whose work inhabits the space between permanence and transformation. Through material, form, and symbolism, she explores how memory, architecture, and the natural world reveal the fragility and endurance of human experience. She holds a BFA from Marywood University and an MFA from VCUarts, and has received two Individual Creative Artist Fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and a CERF+ Grant. Exhibiting nationally at venues including the Spartanburg Art Museum, The Taubman Museum of Art, and The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, Myron continues to deepen her inquiry into material and meaning. Her ongoing series, (Im)permanence, reflects on how spaces hold traces of human presence and how nature quietly absorbs the evidence of labor and longing. Using metals such as pewter and gold, she reimagines symbols of value, merging industry and luxury to question what endures and what fades.
