How could this mindful consciousness on an individual level impact the collective as a whole? My work often transforms organic movement into visual metaphor. Here, the portal is not a physical destination, but a representation of the 'now.' The composition centers on a glowing, geometric ring of light set against a soft, pastel sky. The landscape includes a reflection in the water, meant to symbolize an inward meditative state that is both grounding and life-giving. I utilize transparent oil glazes and hundreds of bird-like marks to capture the concentration and depth required for true mindfulness. "Through the Portal" for me is a visual affirmation that an embodied, fulfilling life is found in the present. I hope this piece communicates two truths. You Belong, fully and immediately.
