“Where the Falls Fall” is a photography piece reflecting DuPont State Forest, North Carolina. This particular waterfall, Triple Falls, is famous for being the spot where the movie The Hunger Games was filmed. My Mom and I liked our visit to DuPont because we were able to share this time together. The big idea behind this work of art is “inspirations,” as many of my inspirations came to mind while photographing this piece. To start, observing my Mom taking photographs helps me reflect on things that I can do to make my work better. Watching her take pictures motivates me to accomplish my goals as a photographer. Two additional inspirations in my life, both art teachers, Ms. Lane and Dr. Dew, helped me identify my talent and had shown me how to pursue my passion of photography. Just like the waterfall, I am flowing with the intention to transform into a creative mindset allowing me to expand upon greater artistic achievements.
