This piece, titled "Gemini" shows a brightly colored wolf with a "half and half" color palette, one side being a coral orange and the other being far more blue toned. The wolf is positioned mid run as if it is jumping down from something in a fluid motion, mouth wide in an almost smile, showing teeth. It is very brightly colored, successfully utilizing the elements color, shape and line, along with the principles of pattern, movement and balance. The piece is made majority with sharpie marker on railroad board, though other mediums were used like: sharpie highlighters and metallic paint pens. It uses mark-making techniques such as hatching to create depth and show value within the piece. This piece was somewhat inspired by the song "Gemini" by the artist TROY. It has become a personal favorite song of mine and I absolutely love the upbeat rampant energy it has, it really just makes me think of an obnoxiously colored fluorescent burst of colors.
