I found this calamity of objects while exploring my dad's mechanic shop. They stuck out to me because of how rustic-looking they are, so I snapped a picture. Then I thoroughly analyzed the photo and decided it would make a great charcoal piece. I used black powdery charcoal because it ties to how dusty and messy a mechanic shop can get, but the mechanic still knows where everything is and is content in his organized mess. I relate to this feeling through charcoal because it is a rather chaotic medium but in the end, it comes together to create something new.
