This piece was made using Prismacolor pencils. I love and drink soda often, so incorporating this into a piece of art makes it more personal to me. I also wanted to do a piece that shows reflection, and the shine of outside objects because the details make it interesting to observe. I wanted this piece to be larger in size in order to accentuate the smaller details hidden in the folds of the can. I picked the blue-gray background in order to sharpen the edges of the hand, as well as to contrast the red can.
