Born in St. Claire's Hospital, Manhattan, NYC. First child of Carmen Lydia (Guzman) Puerto Rico and Mario Villamia La Habana, Cuba.
Grew up Manhattan and South Bronx. Attended Bronx High School Science.
Worked as photographer and instructor at Andrews and McNair army bases, Berlin Germany. Studied biology as undergrad Boston University College of Liberal Arts. Professor Lynn Margulis was mentor.
Outstanding graduate of the Boston University College of Liberal Arts.
Boston University School of Medicine 1981.
Predominantly self-taught in art. Paul Ingbretson Atelier 1995. MFA studio art Program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston/Tufts University, graduating with an MFA in Studio Art.
Taught painting School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Taught drawing and printmaking at the New Hampshire Institute of Art.
Received the Diamante Arts and Culture Award for NC 2021.
Participated 120+ group exhibitions as well as over ten Solo exhibitions.
