Jessica Sharpe

Jessica Sharpe is a transcendental surrealist artist exploring the nature of existence through painting, installation, and emerging digital mediums. Rooted in the metaphysical, her practice invites viewers into a dialogue between the material world and unseen dimensions. Sharpe earned a BFA in Painting from the University of Cincinnati in 2003. She completed a MFA in Interdisciplinary Art at Syracuse University in 2010, where she was awarded a full stipend as the Fellow. Sharpe's career has included maintaining a studio practice in New York City, exhibiting nationally, and teaching visual art across a diverse range of educational settings. She has served as an adjunct professor, guest lecturer, and volunteer for various arts organizations. She continues her daily studio practice across medias while teaching and reflecting on eternal truths. She is current artist-in-residence at Loop Studios Critique Club and an active co-op member of the Baton Rouge Gallery for Contemporary Art.
