My inspiration for this entry piece comes from the people of Lake City, SC. Living for over 42 years in Lake City, I have been blessed by everyone that has opened doors for me, from decorating their homes to participating in social and business events. Over the years I have listened to the stories of your family histories, saw your families' growth, and their everyday living during the times of pure joy, and sadly for the difficult moments. I have been collecting albums, photos, advertisements, and assortments of memorabilia which was another way of learning more about Lake City's past. As I started this project, I felt I was opening a time capsule about the history of Lake City. In this project you will find historical events from 1940 to the present, in hopes that it will put a smile on your face and joy in your heart.
