"Kronos" depicts an American alligator with its jaws open, frozen in a consuming gesture, echoing the ancient Greek Titan who devoured his own children to escape fate. A creature both ancient and immediate, it is caught in a spotlight suspended between hunger and survival. Energetic lines pull us into an inky blackness where the god of the swamp waits. Each mark on the drypoint plate is a record of the process: drawing, incising, smearing, and crushing.
