Cecilia Ho of Greenville SC, was born into a family of fashion and interior designers in Hong Kong in the 70s. Since 2010, she has been creating hand felted decorative & wearable fiber arts using New Zealand Merino sheep wool, Corriedale sheep wool, Mulberry Silk fibers, Tencel fibers and Silk Chiffon fabrics. Ancient wet felting technique was applied to make felt fabric with wool and hot soapy water; modernized needle felting was applied to make sculpture or wool painting with felting needle; and Nuno felting was used to combine less amount fine wool with natural silk fabrics. Over the past decade, Cecilia has been a SC Arts Commission Verified Teaching Artist, focusing on promoting felt-making techniques through arts integration in residence at K-12 schools & communities across the Carolinas. Through the process of Felt-Making, Cecilia hopes everyone can "Felt It. Love It. Treasure It."
