Alfonso Perez Acosta

Richmond, VA

Alfonso Pérez Acosta is a Colombian artist living and working in

Richmond, Virginia. With a formation in Fine Arts and a Master's in

Education, his practice sits at the intersection of art and education,

employing multimedia languages in a variety of community-based

projects, with a special interest in contemporary drawing and healing

practices. Most relevant works include the Settling Tables project with

the Virginia Museum Of History And Culture, the Trust Building/s mural series with Mending Walls,

and the creation of Casa Lápiz Art Program for middle school students

at the Sacred Heart Center in Richmond. His recent exhibitions

include Lengua Twister at Art180 and Homes And Habitats at Lewis Ginter

Botanical Garden.
