"W.A.Y.W.O.T.C" stands for "What Are You Waiting On To Change?" Change comes whether we want it or not. I always considered myself open to change, yet when confronted by change, I became paralyzed. My life worked for me, I did not need anything different, more so I did not want anything different. I was presented with the option of change, represented by the color swatches, and chose to keep my life the same. I thought if I rejected change in that moment, the change could not touch me. However, remaining complacent in ways kept me in denial. I refused to accept how I was feeling and how the world was shifting around me. This state of mind was not sustainable and only produced a feeling of shame. Despite planting my feet firmly, change has swept me to become a different person. I have learned that I can either be stubborn or understand that everything happens for a reason. Some times that does not mean accepting it, but to at least not be in denial.
