Plan your Trip to ArtFields 2022

We’re counting down the days to ArtFields 2022 – our T E N T H anniversary! Whether you’ve been before or this is your first time, there’s a lot to explore. Read on for how to make the most of your time in Lake City. If you have any questions about planning your trip, please email us at [email protected].

First, let’s cover the basics.

  • WHAT: The ArtFields event is a 9-day art festival designed to celebrate Southern artists and revitalize a small town through the power of art. Each year, hundreds of artworks are hung throughout downtown Lake City in venues from art galleries and restaurants to renovated warehouses and boutiques. We encourage you to see as many of the artworks as possible and then vote on your favorite pieces. Two artists will each take home $12,500 based on visitors’ votes, so be sure to participate in this fun, free aspect of the event!

  • WHERE: You can find art in over 40 venues in Lake City, SC. We recommend you start your trip at the Welcome Center at 110 E Main Street to register to vote and get a map and Field Guide. The student artwork from South Carolina students in grades 1-12 is displayed in two venues this year. Primary and Elementary will be at the Railway at 144 S Acline and Middle and Secondary will be at The Stables 126 N Acline.

  • WHEN: ArtFields runs from April 22 – 30. Artwork venues are open from 10AM-7PM each day except Sunday, April 25 when they are open 1-6PM. It is free to attend ArtFields.

  • WHO: Anyone can attend ArtFields! We have art and art based events that will appeal to all ages. No matter if you’re 1 or 100, we’re sure that you’ll find a piece of artwork that speaks to you and make some memories.

In addition to the adult and student artwork, ArtFields 2022 features a line up of specialty art events throughout the 9 days. Check out the list below and click HERE for a full list of events during the 9 days. We are so thankful for the town-wide effort that occurs to ensure an action-packed schedule of events.
