Chad Serhal
Hammond, LA
Chad Serhal grew up in Kentucky and Indiana. He was deeply involved in the local music scene, which exposed him to the arts. The love of film lead him to cartooning, which lead to Collage. He earned a certificate in audio engineering at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona in 2005. He then earned a BA in art and film studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 2016 and an MFA in Sculpture at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 2021. He works in collage with paper, sound and video. He is currently an Instructor in the Department of Visual Art and Design at Southeastern Louisiana University.
