kim wayman (they/she) is a queer, anti-Zionist Jewish artist, parent, and creative facilitator. She grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia, received a BA in Slavic Studies from Brown University, and a BFA in Painting from UNCA. Kim is the co-founder of Conspire Studio, a place for community creative inquiry, where they facilitate and guides a process of art-making that encourages contact with deep, post-rational modes of knowing. As both an artist and a facilitator, kim is passionate about creating and tending immersive spaces that offer the possibility of emergent and collaborative ritual and meaning-making. They approach their work with inquiries about how art can participate in world-building, how to collaborate with the more-than-human in that process, and what the role of grief, joy, and ritual is in this work. Kim lives in a little mountain holler north of Asheville with their many wonderful neighbors, many of them human, and their amazing six-year-old co-traveler, Weaver.
