Charleston, SC
He was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1954 and attended Denison University as well as the University of Cincinnati where he received a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences. For the first 37 years of his working career, he worked as a nursing home administrator, so it was difficult to do much of anything. He began drawing more once he retired. working primarily with pastels. Because much of his work as a teaching administrator was helping facilities improve, he found that many of his assignments brought him to places he had never been before. Today he has combined his love of teaching with his art, introducing his viewers to things he saw traveling on the roads that come off of the main roads. In many ways, he too has learned just as much as his intended viewers. Be it things such as foam henge or sun dogs, he has plenty of photos available to serve as source material so he will be busy for some time.
