At times, my anxious thoughts spiral out of control. I imagine the worst-case scenario and battle against logical reasoning. This happens most often when I need support. I struggle to ask for assistance, convinced that doing so would make me a burden or an inconvenience. Instead of reaching out, I tell myself that others have more important things to do. I'll spend days-even months-trying to work up the courage to ask, all while convincing myself I don't need anyone after all. In a circular composition, a figure visually spirals through repeated stamping. The ink gradually fades as the figure recedes into the distance, symbolizing a disconnect from reality-the reality that most people are willing to offer help and often find meaning in doing so. Along the framed edge of the panel, I've written the looping thought process that arises when I want to reach out but can't. There is no clear beginning or end-it's an endless spiral, spinning out of control.
