An emotional connection is often the driving force of my artworks, regardless of the subject matter, artistic style, and media in which I'm working. I use expressive mark-making, emphasizing color and light, to convey the feeling of the place, moment, or idea. I want others to experience that moment when viewing my work.



Recently, I've been inspired by nature's power to transform. What is it about nature that allows a person let go of life's complications, grief, and responsibilities? How does nature captivate us above all else? My landscape paintings are investigations into these transformative moments as I challenge myself to recreate similar experiences for others through my work.



I've spent the majority of my creative journey as a graphic designer and high school art educator before opening Luca Studio & Gallery in Fort Mill, SC. I'm thrilled to work as a full-time artist while teaching art lessons and maintaining a gallery space where local artists can show their works.
