"Axis Mundi" began as a blind contour drawing inspired by the fluidity and movement of water. Through a process of layering, mirroring, and transformation, the initial blue composition evolved into a luminous mandala that radiates with energy and structure. By removing the original contour lines and allowing color to guide the form, I created a visual language that reflects both organic flow and sacred geometry. The work's symmetrical composition and central axis evoke the architecture of a basilica transept, where the red cross and radiant yellow-orange center suggest a point of spiritual convergence-a connection between the physical and the transcendent. Through the manipulation of light, color, and repetition, "Axis Mundi" explores the intersection of chaos and order, the material and the ethereal, inviting viewers to consider their own sense of balance and transformation.
