Elizabeth Foley is a multi-passionate artist based in Asheville, North Carolina, working primarily in ceramics and acrylic paint. Her signature work, the "Finding Wings" series, features large-scale ceramic swan sculptures that amplify the stories of domestic violence survivors. Each sculpture incorporates survivors' narratives carved directly into individually crafted feathers, serving as both art and advocacy to raise awareness about domestic violence and catalyze social change.
Elizabeth studied Fine Art/Ceramics at the University of Oregon and apprenticed with accomplished Oregon potter Gil Harrison. She is a Certified Intentional Creativity Teacher and has exhibited her work at galleries across the United States. Through her art, Elizabeth seeks to create platforms where survivors can share their stories while educating communities and supporting organizations that provide crucial resources to survivors.
