Luci Westphal is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker, and interdisciplinary artist with a focus on social and biophilic art projects to enhance people's well-being and connection to the outdoors and each other.
Originally from Germany, she got her first camera in elementary school. In her 20s, she moved to the USA to attended film school at Florida State. She has directed documentaries, music videos, and webseries while living in Brooklyn, Berlin, and eventually Colorado, where her focus shifted to photography.
In 2020, she moved to the Historic Kenwood Artist Enclave in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has a studio at the ArtsXchange in the Warehouse Arts District.
Her work has been broadcast internationally and exhibited in group and solo exhibits. She has received grants from the Jerome Hill Foundation, St. Pete Arts Alliance, Creative Pinellas, Gobioff, and SouthArts. Her installation "Public Walls and In-Between Spaces" won a Creative Loafing "Best of the Bay 2024" award.
