"Mental Cells" explores the quiet tension between physical healing and emotional confinement. Inspired by my aunt's chemotherapy mask, an artifact of both protection and vulnerability. Each image situates the human body within a natural environment, reflecting the psychological landscape of chronic illness. The series becomes a meditation on endurance and perception: each image in the series builds toward the realization that while chronic pain and health conditions present unavoidable struggles, our perception and mindset can either deepen our sense of confinement or empower us. Though we do not choose physical hardship, we can choose to cultivate mental resilience.
